| CALLIGRAPHY TOOLS & MATERIALS ![]() Many paper types can be used with calligraphy – preferably, look for a type that will not let the ink bleed. When writing, the position of the paper is the most important factor. It is best if placed on a working surface that’s tilted at a 45° angle so there’s a clear view of the working area and the ink is allowed to flow more easily onto the paper’s surface. Keeping Your Work Clean |
To remove a nib, unscrew the nib in a counter-clockwise direction and pull free. If a cartridge is in place keep the pen upright so as not to spill any ink. To insert a cartridge, unscrew the nib holder from the main body. Push the cartridge firmly in and replace the main body. If the ink doesn‘t flow immediately remove the main body and gently squeeze the cartridge until the ink flows. Replace the cap during use and wash used nibs in warm soapy water or pen cleaner before storing.
